Anthony Venn-Brown spent the first 40 years of his life as a married father of two and an evangelist preacher for the Assemblies of God Church. Then he realised he could no longer hide from his true self. He confessed and came out, and the results of that confession took him on a journey that made him who he is today. Anthony has been recognised by gay website http://www.samesame.com.au/ for his contribution to the GLBTI community in their 2009 25 Most Influential Gay, Lesbian and Transgender Individuals.Anthony has written a book titled "A Life of Unlearning" and is the Co-founder and Convener of Freedom 2 b[e]. The group aims to provide a place to assist LGBT people from Christian backgrounds on their journey to reconcile their faith and sexuality.
