Homosexuality remains a crime in Lebanon, but the country is unusual and unique among Arab-majority nations in that it has a small internal gay rights movement. This is leading to a gay life in places like Beirut which are quietly flourishing.Lebanon may not be somewhere that first springs to mind when you are planning your next holiday but after a chat with Bertho Makso you may think differently.
